Why Switch Up Your Employee Events?

When it comes to employee engagement, it’s easy to fall into a rut. Your company may have seasonal or quarterly events that employees anticipate yearly—these events have worked in the past, and it’s much easier to plan an event that you’ve pulled off before.

Regular events can provide something for employees to look forward to, but we want to make the case for shaking things up. If you want this year to be different from every other, make it different by utilizing company event planning!

The First Annual Merch Mini Golf Open

This year, we tried something new: our team got creative, planning an employee-led, DIY mini-golf tournament! Each team got to create their own hole, decorating and building obstacles according to their chosen theme. We had a blast and want to share what we learned from our experience:

  • Planning an experimental event built anticipation within the team.
  • It was a unique opportunity to recognize creativity and teamwork outside of work projects.
  • Getting the team involved in event planning boosts enthusiasm for the event itself.
  • A little friendly competition can bring life to your event!
